Culinary Around Universitas Negeri Semarang (PART I)

In this third post, I will tell you about the culinary around Universitas Negeri Semarang.

Unnes’ students buy their food in ‘warung makan’ such as warteg, brebesan, kucingan, etc. Here, I will mention some of ‘rumah makan’ that I visit around Unnes.  The price? Don’t worry about it, because most of the ‘rumah makan’ here only put the price under 20k. J

There are so many culinary in Unnes. So, I will make this post about this in some parts. This is the part one. In this part, I explore four places. Let’s start it.

1        Sri Tirta Nasi Goreng & Bakmi Jowo

The location is in Patemon. The food is Indonesian food, such as Nasi Goreng and Bakmi. This place is always crowded when I came here. I visit this place because my friend’s recommendation. The unique menu in Sri Tirta is Nasi Godog. I like Nasi Godog because it makes my stomach full. The price is around 10k.

2.       Siomay & Batagor Sekaran

Honestly, I forget about the name of this place, but this place location in Sekaran. You can taste the many kinds of Siomay and Batagor. There are Siomay Gulung, Siomay Sosis, Batagor Gulung, and many more. The price is under 10k.

3.       Warung Burjo

If you are Unnes student. You absolutely know about this place. so, warung burjo is the place maybe we can call the traditional café for student. Because the menu here is like instant noodles and fried rice. Actually, students come here because warung burjo is the one of the best place to go hangout with the cheap price. And if you hungry at midnight, warung Burjo is still open for you.

4.       Dokar Unnes

Yup, this is the new food or snacks in Unnes. Dokar Unnes is made by English Literature Student who try to open their new business. Actually I know this place because of my friend who build this business. Dokar Unnes is Donat Bakar. So, they sell doughnuts with topping and there so many topping that you can choose. The price is start from 3000. You can try this in Sekaran before Padang Mbulan.
